materials & Technology
Solid surface materials are among the most versatile materials in modern interior design. Whether in kitchens, bathrooms, or commercial spaces, they combine design freedom with high functionality, hygiene, and sustainability. Pfeiffer processes leading brands such as Corian, Krion, HIMACS, and Hanex into custom solutions for both private homes and large-scale projects. All of these materials share pore-free surfaces, seamless fabrication, and the ability to be thermoformed into virtually any shape.

Corian by DuPont is considered synonymous with solid surface materials and has been a benchmark in interior design for decades. Pfeiffer uses Corian wherever quality, design, and durability are expected to work together without compromise.

As a seamlessly processable solid surface material, Krion impresses with its versatility and appearance, especially its intense, radiant white colour, which clearly stands out from other materials.

Thanks to a special thermal curing process, the HIMACS solid surface material is exceptionally homogeneous and resistant.

Staron is an acrylic-based solid surface material with a balanced composition of acrylic resin and aluminum hydroxide. The material impresses with its high dimensional stability, uniform surface, and expressive colour spectrum. Thanks to its excellent formability and homogeneous structure, Staron is suitable for both intricate details and large-scale applications.

Hanex is an acrylic-based solid surface material with a particularly high proportion of aluminum trihydrate, making it exceptionally resistant to stains, chemicals, and heavy wear.

In addition to solid surface materials, Pfeiffer also works with wood and decorative panels – materials that complement functionality, natural aesthetics, and cost efficiency, creating a harmonious overall concept when combined with mineral composites.
Durable, decorative surfaces in a wide range of finishes – ideal for furniture construction and interior design.
Natural, warm, and versatile – Pfeiffer crafts wood into custom-built carcasses and individual pieces of furniture.
In our in-house manufactory, we process solid surface materials using CNC technology, thermoforming, and seamless bonding – starting from a batch size of one. Precise fabrication makes these materials ideal for custom-made countertops, washbasins, wall panels, and more. As a certified fabricator for DuPont, Porcelanosa, LX Hausys, and Hyundai, we support your project from design to installation.
Are you planning a project or looking for expert advice? Our team looks forward to receiving your inquiry. We will support you every step of the way – from material selection to final implementation.

Solid surface materials consist of a blend of acrylic resins and minerals (e.g. aluminum trihydrate). Under heat and pressure, these components are fused into a homogeneous, solid material. The result is a smooth, non-porous surface that can be seamlessly fabricated and stands out due to its durability and hygiene.
Kitchen countertops, washbasins, bathrooms, reception desks, wall panels, and even building façades – wherever hygiene, formability, and design are key.
Solid surface materials are seamless, hygienic, and thermoformable, creating a clean, minimalist spatial aesthetic. Wood, on the other hand, feels warm and natural but does not meet the same hygiene standards as solid surface materials. Decorative panels are especially cost-effective and durable and can be categorized between solid surface materials and wood in terms of appearance, texture, and hygienic properties.
Very easy: a damp cloth and mild cleaning agents are sufficient. Pfeiffer also offers the Pfeiffer Cleaning-Set, a specialized care kit developed for cleaning all common solid surface material surfaces.
Yes – scratches, stains, or minor damage can usually be removed by polishing or sanding. Light wear marks can often be treated by hand with a fine abrasive pad or a special care kit. For deeper cuts, larger discolorations, or surface renewal, a professional should be consulted to ensure a uniform finish.
Professional processing of mineral composites requires specialized machinery, training, and an authorized fabricator status. Pfeiffer handles the complete fabrication for you – from thermoforming and bonding to CNC milling.
