The European top class of wheelchair basketball was a guest at the Rittal Arena in Wetzlar from 30.04.-02.05. There was our godfather Simon Brown. In four days of the tournament, eight teams faced each other, which fought for the title in some highly dramatic games. Our local hero RSV Lahn-Dill, who was able to bring the title to Central Hesse as a real record champion for the 7th time. It was the first all-German final in the 46-year history of the IWBF Champions Cup, which RSV won razor-thin in the end with 71:67 against Thuringia Bulls. Unfortunately, we were unable to personally meet the team led by our player Simon Brown in the Rittal Arena due to the corona pandemic. We are all the more pleased that the tournament was able to take place despite all odds with the excellent hygiene concept and that we Players from the live stream were able to cheer. Thanks to all supporters and helpers! We are definitely looking forward to winning together with RSV in the local hall again in 2022.
